Can I request module descriptors for modules studied during a previous academic year?
If you need copies of module descriptors from your studies, we can provide them for academic years from 2017/2018 onwards.
Requests for module descriptors prior to 2017/2018 will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We may be able to locate them in our archives; however, please note that we cannot guarantee availability for these older records.
If you are a current student, please raise an enquiry with the MySurrey Hive via Surrey Support and select “My Course” as your enquiry topic.
If you are a former student, please use the enquiry form. To process your request efficiently, please include the following details:
- Your former URN (student number) – this is a 7-digit number
- The academic year(s) for which you require module descriptors
- A list of the module codes you need
Missing information may lead to delays or limit our ability to locate the requested descriptors.
Module descriptors are only accurate as of their year of publication. Some may contain limited information compared to more recent versions. Please also note that providing module descriptors does not confirm that you completed or passed any of the modules listed.
Please note that the module descriptor remains the intellectual property of the University.
If you need a transcript or copy of your award letter, please consult the relevant articles.
If you are unable to access Surrey Support, please contact us via our enquiry form.
