Do I need to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate every year I am studying at the University of Surrey?
If you are a clinical placement student you do not need to complete a new Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) application every year. You should make sure that you are signed up to the DBS Update Service. There is a cost of £13 per year for this service.
However, you will still need to complete the university's annual declaration of good health, and as part of this, you will need to declare if there have been any updates to the details recorded as part of your DBS certificate.
