How can I apply for exam adjustments?

There is a huge range of support Disability and Neuroinclusion can offer, including adjustments in timed written exams. This can include extra time, the use of a computer, or being in a smaller room. Specifically, what can be offered will depend on your specific needs, the evidence you provide, and the format of your exams.

In order to get exam adjustments in place, you first of all need to register with Disability and Neuroinclusion. We would advise that you start by booking an appointment with a Disability Adviser. In order to be able to offer exam adjustments, you will need to provide suitable evidence. If you have this already, you can send copies to us by raising a case with the MySurrey Hive team on Surrey Support. Please select "Disability and Neuroinclusion" as your enquiry topic and attach a copy of your evidence to the case.

Alternatively, you can complete one of the forms below, to request your adjustments and register with us directly. :

  • New students starting in September 2025 or students not registered with Disability and Neuroinclusion should use this form
  • Students already registered with Disability and Neuroinclusion should use this form.

The deadlines by which you need to have your exam adjustments agreed to and implemented by Disability and Neuroinclusion for the 2025/2026 academic year are as follows:

Semester 1: January 2026 exams: Friday 21st November at 11.59pm (UK)
