How can I apply for a summer opportunity abroad?
There are two types of summer opportunities abroad offered and assisted by the University of Surrey: Summer Schools at universities abroad and Summer Volunteering and Internships abroad.
A Summer School is when a Surrey student studies at one of our partner universities for a short duration over the summer holidays, typically between 2 to 6 weeks in duration. This is a chance to study modules that you would not typically be able to take at Surrey and gives you an opportunity to try something totally new!
Summer Volunteering and internships, involve joining one of the companies that work with the University of Surrey and based in various fantastic locations. These can vary from 2 to 12 week work placements, or 2 to 8 weeks of cultural based learning.
Additionally, if you have found an opportunity of your own that is either an international internship or volunteering opportunity, we can assist you.
You can find all of the summer opportunities that are available to you by using our search tool where you will find information about each opportunity and how to apply.
Further information about the process is available on our Summer Programmes page.
