How can I change my Learning or Training Agreement?
Different arrangements are in place depending on whether you are undertaking a study exchange, a work placement abroad or a summer programme abroad.
If you are a Surrey student planning to go on study exchange at a partner university or if you are an incoming student from a partner university studying at Surrey, you will need a Learning Agreement. The Learning Agreement will be agreed with and signed by your Academic Exchange Coordinator and will detail your agreed module selection that you are required to take. Any changes to your Learning Agreement will need to be agreed with your Academic Exchange Coordinator and shared with the International Engagement Office. Please note there are separate email addresses for incoming students who should send details to ieo.incoming@surrey.ac.uk and outgoing students who should use ieo.outgoing@surrey.ac.uk. To find out who your Academic Exchange Coordinator is, please view our Exchange & Study Abroad Contacts at Surrey document.
If you are a Surrey student undertaking a work or research placement abroad, you will have a Learning or Training Agreement that details the activity of the placement, along with any contribution from the host organisation. The agreement will be signed by yourself, Surrey and your host supervisor. Any changes to the agreement, including a change in dates of more than one week, need to be recorded on a Changes to a Placement form, which will be signed by all three parties to the agreement. Once signed, please send to the International Engagement Office.
If you are going on a summer programme abroad will also need a Learning Agreement for Summer Programmes which will be signed by yourself, Surrey and your host organisation. Any changes to your Learning Agreement will need to be agreed by all three parties and shared with the International Engagement Office.
