How can I contact my Residential Advisor?

If you live in our campus accommodation, you will have access to the services of a Residential Advisor. Our Residential Advisors are passionate about providing a warm welcome to new students living in University residences, with the aim of answering any questions and helping you settle into student life. They can also support you with any community living issues that arise throughout the year and will also run events within your halls to give you the opportunity to meet other students and make friends.

You can contact the Residential Advisor team when they visit your flat each week. All Residential Advisors wear a bright yellow uniform when on their shift which will help you to identify them easily. Posters will be displayed in communal areas within the flats and will include details about who the Residential Advisors are, as well as the days and times they will be available. Generally Residential Advisors will work during the evenings (Monday to Friday) and on Saturdays during the daytime. Additionally, during the semester, the Student Communities team are offering drop-in sessions at Hazel Farm, where students can speak with a Community Coordinator about any issues they may have. These drop-ins will be held on Thursdays from 13:30 to 16:30 (please note that these drop-ins are only available during the semester).

If you do want to get in touch at any other time, you can contact the MySurrey Hive team via Surrey Support and they will direct your enquiry to us.

They will also be available to chat to all students at community building events and promotional stands throughout the year, so you are welcome to say hello and ask them questions.
