I am a postgraduate taught student, can I take part in work or study abroad opportunities?
Some postgraduate programmes have an integrated window of opportunity for a study exchange or professional training placement. Please see the degree programme structure outlined in your programme/module catalogue for more information on this.
Students who do not have such integrated windows of opportunity should discuss with their programme lead whether there is a period in which they could self-source a short work placement abroad or conduct research abroad.
Once a student has secured a work placement abroad, they should register it with the International Engagement Office (IEO) by following the steps on SurreyAbroad. All professional training placements must also first be approved by the Placements team.
