What is One-at-a-Time counselling?
At the Centre for Wellbeing, we provide what’s called One-at-a-Time (OAAT) focused counselling, meaning exactly that we offer you one appointment at a time, at the time you need it.
This is a dynamic, focused form of counselling, which has been shown to be effective in a short space of time. One-at-a-Time means that you don’t have to go through a lengthy referral or waiting list period but can get help as and when you need it. In One-at-a-Time counselling, you and your counsellor will work to focus on the issue that's going to make the biggest difference in your life if it changes for the better.
Together, you'll come up with new perspectives and solutions. You then take away what's been most useful and try it out for about 3 weeks, noticing any changes for the better. If you feel you want another session after that, you can go ahead and book one via the online booking system.
