What support is there for students going through the menopause, or supporting someone who is experiencing menopausal symptoms?
If you are a student who is going through the menopause or supporting anyone through menopause, there is support that you can access.
Adora
The university has partnered with Adora to provide access to a support tool for any students going through menopause. Adora is an app that you can download and access:
- Personalised chat so you can get to the heart of your menopause symptoms quickly
- Direct and confidential access to NHS gynaecologists and women’s health specialists
- An interactive, easy-to-use symptom tracker and menopause toolkit - tracking your symptoms will enable you to find out what strategies work for you
- Lifestyle tips, video-guided exercises, and the latest news - in all areas, from gut health, nutrition, and fitness to sex, libido, and pelvic health
- Regular live events with top women’s health experts

Other support services provided by the university
The university also provides other wellbeing services which you can access for support with the menopause.
Health Assured is a Student Assistance Programme designed to help you deal with personal or student-related problems. A confidential helpline is available 24/7 and you can also access the Wisdom app which contains a library of resources to improve your wellbeing.
The university’s Centre for Wellbeing also offers a range of pastoral services to ensure that our students feel well and supported throughout their time at the University.
