Who has access to my room?
If you have submitted a work request this gives permission to the Maintenance team access to your accommodation to assess and carry out a repair.
If the Estates and Facilities team needs access to your room they will notify you with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice, unless this is an emergency, such as a gas leak.
You may be present when a member of the Estates and Facilities team comes to do maintenance in your room. To ensure this, please contact them by email, explaining that you would like to be present: efcshelpdesk@surrey.ac.uk.
The University reserves the right to enter your accommodation if we have reasonable grounds to suspect that there is a breach of the conditions of residence or are concerned for the welfare of any resident.
