Why do I need to re-register?

Each year, students registered for an award are required to register formally with the University. This applies to all students. This process ensures that you are entitled to access University facilities, attend lectures, laboratories and other academic related sessions, and are liable for payment of fees (where appropriate).

Once your registration is completed, the University is able to confirm your attendance (where appropriate) to the Student Loans Company (UK and EU students), to the Home Office (International students) and to the Office for Students (all students). This reporting is a statutory requirement – we have to do it.
