Why is my attendance percentage in MySurrey Engagement displaying lower than expected?

This percentage is calculated by the number of confirmed and validated check-ins that have been carried out. If you know you checked in on MySurrey Attendance but MySurrey Engagement is showing a red cross, please make sure that you have Bluetooth and Location services switched on in your app settings.

Ensure you have turned on your Bluetooth and Location Services within the app settings:

  • For Apple phones: Go to Settings > Apps > Attendance

  • For Android phones: Go to Settings > Apps > Attendance

Once you have corrected your settings, your attendance will be recorded correctly going forward. Unfortunately, we cannot retrospectively change your attendance record for previous sessions.

However, please do not worry about this if it happens to you. It will not impact you negatively. What is important is you continue to check in with your app settings corrected from now on.

If your app settings are correct, and you are still experiencing issues, please contact the IT team via Surrey Support. When sending your issue to the team, please provide full details of the problem including screenshots, the effected module, room, time/day etc.
