Can I bring my children to university with me?
The University is a welcoming space for our students from various walks of life, including students who are parents.
Children who come onto campus are the responsibility of their parent/guardian, and therefore children must not be left unattended at any point, and only in the care of their parent/guardian.
Children left unaccompanied will be alerted to our Campus Safety team, who you can contact on the details below:
Email: campus-safety@surrey.ac.uk
Tel: 01483 682002 (non-emergency)
Tel: 01483 683333 (emergency)
If you have children and you must be on campus (i.e. to attend classes/labs/exams), you should ensure that proper childcare is sought. If you are unable to source childcare and may have to miss lectures, seminars, tutorials or labs, you are encouraged to speak to your Personal Tutor or Student Success Coach so they are aware and so you can work together to create a plan to support your educational journey.
You can view further information on our child-friendly facilities.
