Can I bring scanned copies of my passport or visa to international student registration?
International students are required to attend registration in-person. If you are an international student attending your in-person registration, you must bring your original passport with you. If you do not own a passport, or your passport is currently with an external authority, please raise an enquiry with the MySurrey Hive team via Surrey Support selecting ‘International Advice and Visas’ as the enquiry topic, and they will advise you on your alternative options.
The majority of visas are now fully digital, so we recommend that students upload a share code via their Surrey Self-Service account in advance of registration. If you do not provide a share code in advance, you should bring one with you to in-person registration. If you are using a visitor visa with a stamp, or a historic visa that still has a valid physical permit, you must bring the original with you to registration.
Full details of the documentation required can be found on our Main registration page.Need more help?
