Can I order my graduation robes from another supplier?

As the graduand, we recommend that you should order your robes from our approved graduation partner, Ede and Ravenscroft. Doing so helps to ensure that your robes will be available on the day, will meet the University’s academic dress standards for graduation, and maintain consistency of appearance. Ede and Ravenscroft also provide an on-campus robe service on graduation day for robes hired from them, to help the robing process run smoothly.

If you choose to order your robes from another supplier, it is your responsibility to ensure they meet the University’s academic dress standards for your award. It’s possible that there could be noticeable differences in the appearance of robes obtained from other suppliers. If robes obtained from an alternative supplier are not sufficiently consistent in appearance, or don’t otherwise conform with the University’s academic dress standards, you may not be permitted to appear on stage wearing them, to preserve the integrity of the graduation ceremony.
