Can I transfer to an integrated masters course?

Some Undergraduate courses have an option to do an Integrated Masters which adds a Masters year onto a Bachelor degree. If this option is available for your subject area, and you have not already been accepted onto the Integrated Masters, please either contact your Director of Learning and Teaching. Alternatively, you can view the programme page on SurreyLearn to see if you meet the programme-specific entry criteria, which may include certain modules having been taken in earlier years of your programme and/or a minimum level average being obtained.

If you would like to request a transfer, please complete a Programme Transfer Request Form which you can find under the Content on your Programme Information page on SurreyLearn.

International student visa holders

You can transfer courses if you are on a Student visa, but there are set of criteria that must be met.

In all cases, students wishing to change programme will need to complete a Programme Transfer Request form (found under Course Materials on your Programme Information Page on SurreyLearn) and submit it to the MySurrey Hive team via Surrey Support.  Please select “My Course” as your enquiry topic.

In addition, student visa holders will also need to provide a supporting statement detailing why you  wish to change programmes, and how it will be of benefit to your future career aspirations. This will be considered by Immigration Compliance as part of the process.

If students would like to speak to an advisor before submitting a formal request, appointments can be booked with the International Student Advice Team.

Further information for Student Visa holders is available here.
