Can someone make a tuition fee payment on my behalf?

Yes, another person can make a tuition fee payment on your behalf. 

However, as all tuition fee payments (for UK and international students) are now processed through your Surrey Self-Service account (where you are linked to the Flywire payment system), you will first of all need to log in here to add them to your account as a “Trusted Payer”. The process is outlined below:

Add a Trusted Payer to your account

• Log into Surrey Self-Service

• Click on the “Tuition Fees” tab on the left-hand side of the screen — you will be able to view your tuition fee invoice, with your instalments listed at the top

• Click on “Manage Trusted Payers” (half way down the page)

• Click on “Add Manage Trusted Payer” and complete your trusted payer's details and select “Submit”. Their details will then appear in the “Your Trusted Payer” list

To send a payment link to your Trusted Payer

• Click on the “Pay Tuition Fees” tab

• The amount will be shown as zero. You cannot select the amount to pay at this stage. It is your responsibility to inform your Trusted Payer of the amount that they should pay.

• From the selected payer drop down menu, select the Trusted Payer that you want to make the payment

• Click on “Confirm” 

• This will send an email to your Trusted Payer with a link that they can use to make a payment via Flywire. You will need to have confirmed with them the amount that they need to pay

Please be aware that adding a Trusted Payer to your account, does not mean the Trusted Payer has consent to discuss your account details. Therefore, if you wish to provide consent to discuss your account with a Trusted Payer, please contact Student Receivables by email via student-receivables@surrey.ac.uk so we can add this.
