Can someone make a tuition fee payment on my behalf?
Yes, another person can make a tuition fee payment on your behalf. However, as all tuition fee payments (for UK and international students) are now processed through Surrey Self-Service (where you are linked to the Flywire payment system), you will first of all need to log into here to initiate the payment and create a payment link that you can then share with the person who will pay your fees.
From Surrey Self-Service, select the button "Tuition Fees" (on the top left side of the screen). You will be presented with your instalments and in the middle of the screen you can click on "Pay Tuition Fees". Tick the instalment (s) you wish to pay. Please then type in the amount you wish to pay. Then “Click here to pay”.
Select the region you are paying from. Then you will see various options (for example, Visa/MasterCard/bank transfer). One of these options must be selected.
Please complete the details of the person that will be making the payment on your behalf as requested by Flywire (i.e. parent/family/friend). Please also then provide the payment card or bank details of the person who will be paying on your behalf.
Once you complete this request you will see the “share” button on the right hand side of the screen. You can use this to create a payment link that you can then share with the person who will pay your fees. Once they click on the payment link, they will see the same screen - it will mirror on the device of the person you have shared the link with.
If you encounter problems during the payment process, you can access Flywire's 24/7 support using their Live Chat, or you can contact them by email.
If you are unable to access Surrey Support, please contact us via our enquiry form.
