How can I explore a diagnosis of ADHD?
If you think you may have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), you can contact the Disability and Neuroinclusion team via Surrey Support for further guidance on seeking a diagnosis.
The university cannot provide or refer you directly for an ADHD diagnostic assessment, but we can provide advice and guidance on how to request a referral from your GP. You can complete the screening forms found here and discuss your responses with your GP to explore a possible referral.
Your GP can discuss referral options with you, including NHS assessment routes and, in England, possible Right to Choose options.
Waiting times for ADHD assessments can be lengthy, but if you are seeking a formal diagnosis, please contact our team to discuss interim support where appropriate.
If you are unable to access Surrey Support, please contact us via our enquiry form.
