How much will it cost to park if I have a permit?
The amount you pay for parking will depend on the type of permit you hold, either a 'Student PAYG Permit' - including Accessible permit type (for those living off campus or within the GU2 postcode who meet the eligibility criteria) or a 'Stag Hill & Manor Park Residents Permit' (for those living in university managed accommodation).
Student PAYG Permit (Including Accessible)
If you have this permit, you will be charged £2 per visit, capped at £7.50 per week (maximum £30 in any rolling 4-week period). Payments are made via Evology Autopay. You can choose to:
- Pre-Pay (top-up in advance),
- Auto Restore (automatically restore to a set balance),
- Auto Top-Up (add a fixed amount when low)
- Manual Top-Up (you add funds yourself — if your balance is too low, parking will be declined).
- Or, use Pay to Park (direct debit after each session, no top-up needed).
Tip: Pay to Park avoids needing to monitor your balance as this is linked to your debit or credit card.
Any failed payments will result in a Parking Charge Notice (PCN). If a payment fails, you will receive three consecutive email alerts to your university email and have five days to update your payment details. If not resolved, a fine will be issued.
Stag Hill & Manor Park Residents Permit
The Stag Hill & Manor Park Residents Permit costs £29 per month, and can be set up using the links on the Evology website and paid via Worldpay.
You will receive a monthly renewal email. If you don’t renew, the permit becomes invalid, and you may receive a Parking Charge Notice (PCN).
