I am a Blue Badge holder; how do I apply for a parking permit?
Cost of parking
Blue Badge holders are entitled to free parking in any permit holder car park across Stag Hill and Manor Park (including Kate Granger). This includes all accessible parking bays.Number of vehicles
Only one car is allowed per permit. Any change of vehicle must be updated at least one day before driving on campus.
Guidance for Blue Badge holders
Your Blue Badge must be issued in your own name.
You must not use a Blue Badge issued to a family member or any other person. Using someone else's Blue Badge is illegal and may constitute fraud. Any student found using a Blue Badge that has not been issued to them will be referred to the University's Office of Student Complaints, Appeals and Regulation (OSCAR) for investigation and may also be reported to the relevant external authorities where appropriate.
Your vehicle registration must be linked to your Blue Badge permit to avoid receiving fines through our Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system.
You must display your Blue Badge in your windscreen when using our accessible parking bays.
Blue Badge holders may also park on double yellow lines for up to 2 hours, provided the Blue Badge and parking clock are correctly displayed, with the arrival time clearly set. Vehicles must not block access roads, emergency routes, dropped kerbs, entrances, or any area that could obstruct other vehicles or pedestrians. Failure to display the badge and clock correctly may result in a penalty charge notice (PCN).
Accessible parking for visitors
If you have a visitor coming to the University who holds a Blue Badge, they are also eligible for free parking. Please also see our accessibility guides for Getting around campus.
