I am looking for accommodation in the private sector and need to find flatmates, can the university help me?

If you are looking for private sector accommodation, Roome is the University of Surrey’s official student housing and housemate matching app. Whether you’re looking for compatible housemates, available accommodation, or ways to connect with your new community, Roome makes the process simple and stress-free.

We have also created a Find a Flatmate Teams channel to help you find other students looking for house shares. Click on the Teams link to join the group and this will send a link to the Accommodation team to approve your request. Once you have joined, you will then be able to interact with others by posting details of a spare room you have in a house or flat, or to introduce yourself and find people to live with.
