If I take a temporary withdrawal, how will this affect my entitlement to student loan finance?

In most cases withdrawing from your course will affect your funding entitlement. Therefore, if you rely on student loans for funding your tuition or maintenance costs, there are some important factors to consider, particularly if the withdrawal period begins after the academic term has started.

It would be advisable to contact Student Finance to check the implications on your funding entitlement for current and future years before you make any choice, so you can make an informed decision.

There is also a chance that you may be eligible for an extra year of tuition fee support if you are withdrawing from University due to personal reasons such as illness and bereavement.
