I've been accused of academic misconduct, what now?

If you have been accused of academic misconduct, you will receive an email containing a letter detailing the next steps. This could be a notification that your case will be considered by the Academic Administration team or it could be an invitation to attend a Formal Discussion or an Academic Misconduct Panel. If you have any questions or concerns, respond to this email directly.

Read this letter carefully as it provides all the information for your case, including what the academic concerns are, how your case will be considered, the date, time and location of any meeting, as well as the process for requesting a postponement or submitting evidence.

The letter also provides contact details for the Students' Union should you need advice and support during the process.

The University will not be able to complete the marking of your work, return it to you or provide feedback, until the case of suspected academic misconduct has been considered.
