Should I submit an academic appeal or an extenuating circumstances application?

The University will not consider an academic appeal in relation to unratified results (this means results that have not yet been formally agreed by the Board of Examiners). Ratified results are released on official results days. If your marks have not been ratified you may consider submitting a request for extenuating circumstances which students can do up until the time that their marks are ratified.

Should your extenuating circumstances application be rejected, you reserve the right to submit an academic appeal within 10 University working days of receiving the outcome.

For more information on extenuating circumstances, view our extenuating circumstances page.

For more information on academic appeals. view our academic appeals page.
