Is there any help towards the cost of a diagnostic assessment?
If you are referred for a full diagnostic Specific Learning Difference (SpLD) assessment after completing our screening forms, you will be asked to contribute £100 towards the cost of the assessment. The university will cover the remaining cost of the assessment (£275).
If paying £100 contribution is a barrier to assessment, please let us know as we may be able to arrange a payment plan or signpost you to the University's hardship fund.
Unfortunately, if you organise a private assessment for SpLD or any other diagnosis, we cannot contribute towards the cost.
*We are usually unable to subsidise the cost for postgraduate students in their final three months of study and undergraduates in their final year after the first day of the spring vacation. However, we can signpost you to the Professional Bodies who hold registers of appropriately qualified assessors.
