What are the grade boundaries?
Undergraduate programmes
If you are an undergraduate student, you need to obtain the following overall percentages to reach your desired grade:
Below 40% - fail
40% - 49% - third
50% - 59% - 2:2
60% - 69% - 2:1
70% or over - first
Classification outcomes are outlined within our A1: Regulations for taught programmes.
If you are a graduating undergraduate student on an Honours or Integrated Masters degree programme, and your award classification result falls within 2% of a degree classification boundary, you may, subject to Professional, Statutory or Regulatory Body (PSRB) requirements, be considered for a classification uplift. In such cases, we will review your academic performance at your final level of study and consider eligibility for this.
