What is the difference between a bursary and a scholarship?
Bursaries are means-tested using various criteria such as household income and normal residency.
Scholarships are generally merit-based using qualification results. However, they can also be awarded based on criteria such as background and ethnicity.
The University of Surrey offers a number of scholarships and bursaries, some of which are applicable to students studying certain courses.
