What is a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and how does the process work for my health sciences placement?

All health sciences students are required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and sign up for the DBS Update Service (for which there is an additional charge). You can find more information about the process on the DBS website.
