What does a red cross on MySurrey Engagement mean?
If there is a red cross next to one or more of your sessions in MySurrey Engagement, this can be because:
You did not attempt to check in for the session on the MySurrey Attendance app
If you did enter the code into MySurrey Attendance, your check in was not confirmed. Your check in may have failed because your location settings are not configured correctly for the MySurrey Attendance app
Please check that your app settings allow Bluetooth and Location Services:
For Apple phones: Go to Settings > Apps > Attendance
For Android phones: Go to Settings > Apps > Attendance
Once you have corrected your settings, your attendance will be recorded correctly going forward. Unfortunately, we cannot retrospectively change your attendance record for previous sessions.
However, please do not worry about this if it happens to you. It will not impact you negatively. What is important is you continue to check in with your app settings corrected from now on.
If your app settings are correct, and you are still experiencing issues, please contact the IT team via Surrey Support. When sending your issue to the team, please provide full details of the problem including screenshots, the effected module, room, time/day etc.
