When will my optional module selections be confirmed?

If you are choosing your optional modules during the online module selection period, the moment you confirm your choice of modules, you will have an allocated place. You will then be able to view your confirmed optional module selections on Surrey Self-Service.

If you want to change the optional modules that you have previously selected (or you missed the module selection deadline) you must do this within the first two weeks of the semester. Your request will be reviewed and will only be authorised if there is capacity on the module that you want to move to. You will be contacted by week three of teaching to confirm whether your module change has been approved or denied. If you want to find out if there is still room available before you make your request to change modules, please contact the MySurrey Hive team via Surrey Support and select "My Course" as your enquiry topic.

On rare occasions a module may be cancelled if there is extremely low uptake, or that the academic who was to teach it is no longer available. Once viability surveys for all modules are complete, you will be contacted if a particular module is not going to be taught, and you will be offered alternative modules to study.
