Gendered Intelligence: Training and facilitation, youth work, policy, the arts, and many workers hold doctorates in trans related
studies. Groups, support work, Camping trips, list of services available.
GIRES: UK directory of groups and organisations that support/assist trans and gender diverse individuals, their families and friends. A wide range of resources also available on the site
Surrey Swans: provides a place where trans people and their partners, friends and families can meet socially. Normally meet on the last Sunday of each month. THE LION BREWERY, 104 Guildford Road, Ash, Surrey, GU12 6BT.
Beaumont Society: The Beaumont Society offers a comprehensive range of services designed to support the trans community. Their services include a confidential helpline, support groups, and one-on-one counselling sessions. They also provide educational resources and advocacy to help promote understanding and acceptance.
It Gets Better: It Gets Better Project is the world’s largest storytelling effort to empower LGBTQ+ young people where they live, learn, and socialize.
Traveller Pride: UK-Based collective made up of LGBT+ Travellers working to provide support, representation and a platform for LGBT+ Travellers. They offer outreach phone calls to offer advice and combat isolation, a solidarity fund and logistic help with leaving difficult situations.
Eikon: One to one support for those who are questioning or identify as LGBTQIA+. They provide free confidential counselling and emotional support to young people who may need help in coping with difficult personal, family and emotional problems.
Kairos 227: Kairos227 is a group of Jesus-centred LGBTQI people and straight allies. They have monthly meet ups around Woking, Surrey.
Terrence Higgins Trust: The UK's leading HIV and sexual health charity. They support people living with HIV and amplify their voices, and help the people using our services to achieve good sexual health.
Twister: Youth Workers from Surrey County Council run Twister, which is a safe space where young people can meet to get support, make friends, and take part in fun, creative and awareness raising activities. Twister groups are for young people age 11 to 19 and up to 25 with SEND.
Kooth: A website offering free and confidential online counselling for young people.
CYP Haven: A safe space for children and young people aged 10-18 where you can talk about worries and mental health in a confidential, friendly and
supportive environment.
Albert Kennedy Trust: Supports young LGBT+ people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. They also support young people living at home when their family haven't accepted that they are LGBT+.
FFLAG: National organisation and charity dedicated to supporting families and their LGBT+ loved ones.
MindOut: Mental health service offering advice and information over the phone, email or online chat
LGBT Consortium: You can search their database of LGBTQIA+ groups, projects and organisations to find services near you.
Blossom: Their mission is the relief of poverty within the LGBTQIA+ community by enabling the amazing things that LGBTQIA+ people can achieve when they are empowered to succeed. They do this through one-to-one coaching and mentoring, life skill workshops to build confidence and ability, alongside creating spaces that spark peer-to-peer connections
