Why can't I see my marks?

On mark release day you will receive an email once your marks are available to view. Please be aware that marks are not all released at the same time and generally publish throughout the day.

If you are a final year student due to be awarded, you should receive your end of year results and award outcome ahead of other students via an email sent to you at the end of June. However you will not be able to view your results on Surrey Self-Service until general mark release has taken place.

The official mark release dates for both final year undergraduates and continuing students can be found on our Exam results page.

If you have not received your final results and award and are still unable to see them after general mark release, please check if you owe any money to the University. You will be unable to view your marks or receive your award if you have outstanding tuition or accommodation fees. Please see more information on Paying your fees. Once you have paid your fees the relevant team will be notified so they can process your award. Please note, it can take a week or two following payment of fees, before you will be able to view your results and final award.

At other points in the year, for example during exam periods and prior to official mark release dates, general On-Line Mark Viewing (OLMV) is not available on Surrey Self Service, because of processes being undertaken by the Academic Administration team.

If you believe marks should be available for you to view but you cannot see yours, and you are not a final year student who has fees owing to the university, please submit an enquiry via Surrey Support, selecting MySurrey Hive and then "My Course" as your enquiry topic.
