Are there specific standards should I be aware of when I use generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) depending on the course I am studying?
Disciplinary standards means every subject has its own way of deciding what good looks like. In engineering, good might mean safe and buildable. In health, it might mean evidence-based and safe for people. In English, it might mean questioning whose story is being told, whose voice is missing and how language is shaping belief. In creative subjects, it might mean original and purposeful.
At Surrey we teach you to judge GenAI outputs by those standards. On our website you can select the course from the Choose your subject drop down menu you are studying to view the ways you will be taught to use AI
