Can I do my placement outside of the UK and how do I organise this?

It is possible to go abroad for some or all of your Professional Training Year. We advertise a number of international work placements, though the overwhelming majority are UK based. Alternatively, some students will source their own placement overseas and submit the details for our approval. You can also refer to your Professional Training SurreyLearn page, to see whether your school also offers the Study Abroad option as part of the placement year. There may also be the option to combine work (UK or overseas) and Study Abroad.   Work placements can take place in any destination, subject to FCDO advice.   You can view a range of international opportunities and the process for organising a placement abroad using our Surrey abroad pages
