Can I request a letter from the university that will confirm my rights to work under my student visa?

If you are an international student on a student visa, and you are applying for a job, your potential employer will need confirmation from us of your right to work (under your Student Visa).

You can download and print an “Information for Employers” letter yourself from our University Letters page on Surrey Support. This letter will inform potential employers about your right to work as an international student. A copy of the letter will then be emailed to you for you to print out and send to your prospective employer.

This letter is available to you alongside the “Student Information for Employment Purposes” letter, which clarifies the working rights of student visa holders.
