Can I submit a late academic appeal?

You should submit your academic appeal within the 10 University working days after being notified of the decision you wish to appeal.

If you are unable to provide all supporting evidence by the appeal submission deadline (for example, if you are awaiting receipt of a medical letter), then you are still required to submit your appeal within the 10 University working day timeframe (including a complete supporting statement and any available evidence) but may request an extension in respect of the submission of any pending evidence. Such requests should explain the reason the extension is required and be made by email to OSCAR at the time of the appeal submission.

However, if you have missed the deadline, you are entitled to provide a good reason (with supporting evidence) as to why your appeal is late.

Please provide a statement outlining why your appeal is late to the Office of Student Complaints, Appeals and Regulation (OSCAR) team along with any supporting evidence that you would like to be considered. The evidence will then be reviewed by a Case Manager who will determine whether the reasons are valid.
