Can I take books that I have borrowed from the Library out of the country?

We advise you do not take books borrowed from the Library out of the country. Books can be recalled at any time by other members of the library. If books are recalled they will no longer automatically renew, and if you are not able to return the books on time you will incur overdue fines. Also, it can be expensive to post books back from overseas and they can get lost in transit, so we strongly advise returning all library books that you have on loan before you leave the country.
