How can I order uniform for my clinical programme?

Veterinary medicine

If you are buying your first bundle of uniforms as a first year veterinary student, you can collect this on uniform collection day, which is the last Sunday of Welcome Week in September. You will be contacted and given a time slot to collect this. If you are a first year student there are compulsory uniform requirements for Year 1. You can find further details on what uniform is required and how to order by visiting the online store.

If you need to order more items or replacement uniform, please visit the uniform and equipment section of the online store to purchase compulsory and optional uniform and equipment for practicals and placements. Once you have paid for all required items, you can collect your order from the Vet School reception on the ground floor of the Vet School Main Building, after you have received an email to say it is ready for collection.

Nurses and midwives

At the start of the course you are entitled to the following uniform (provided free of charge by the university: 2 pairs of trousers, 4 tunics, 1 fleece (this is not compulsory). You will be invited to a uniform day which will take place on the last Sunday of Welcome Week where you will be able to try on uniform and find the right size. Your uniform will then be ordered for you and you will be able to collect it from the Kate Granger Building later in the semester. You will receive an email to let you know when this is ready to collect.

Further uniform can be ordered through the online store and you will need to pay for this. The link to the store is also provided on the Placement pages on Surrey Learn. Before ordering any further uniform, it is advisable that you email the Clinical Placements team to check that your uniform size and quantity are available so that the team can check they have the size and the quantity of uniform that you are requesting.

Paramedic or operating department practitioner

If you are a paramedic or operating department practitioner, you are entitled to the following uniform at the start of the course, 4 polo tops, 2 pairs of trousers, 1 belt and 1 jacket (provided free of charge by the university). You will receive a link from which you can order this. The uniform will be distributed by your Field Lead. You can also order replacement uniform directly through our uniform supplier Alexandra.
