How do I request an academic reference to support my application to another university?

If you require an academic reference for a UCAS application or for a course/university transfer, please contact your Personal Tutor in the first instance.

If you are in your foundation or first year and apply before the UCAS undergraduate deadline (usually mid-January), your confirmed assessment results may not be available. In this case, your Personal Tutor will base your reference on your engagement, attitude, and academic performance to date.

Depending on your faculty or departmental policy, your tutor may also include any available unconfirmed (unratified) grades, such as mid-semester assessments.
