How do I use MySurrey Attendance if my session is in a laboratory or clinical area where personal devices are not allowed?

Some timetabled sessions take place in laboratories or clinical areas sometimes referred to as “wet labs”, where personal devices aren’t allowed. For these timetabled sessions you will not use MySurrey Attendance (MSA) on your own device, but you will be required to check-in on via a tablet device provided for this purpose.

In the Vet Anatomy laboratory, you will be asked to check in yourself, using the tablet outside of the laboratory prior to entering. For other Vet laboratory sessions, paper registers are being used but eventually tablets will be used across all our laboratories and clinical areas.

For those labs in the Innovation for Health (IFH) building, a demonstrator will check you in via a tablet once you are inside the laboratory.

In the Surrey Clinical Simulation Centre used for Health Sciences and Medical School, the tablets will also be used for you to sign in.

The attendance information from the tablets will feed into your MSA data. Paper registers are not uploaded onto MSA but are logged separately by the Academic Administration team.
