I am an international student and I want to add a placement year. Where should I start? How do I extend my visa?

If you are an international student looking to extend your visa to add a professional training year (PTY), you will first need to request a Programme Transfer Request form from the MySurrey Hive team via Surrey Support, selecting "International Advice and Visas" as your enquiry topic, and then submit your request. 

This request will then be forwarded to Visa Compliance for their approval. If both Academic Hive and Visa Compliance approve your request then you will be directed to request a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) by contacting the MySurrey team via Surrey Support, and select "International Advice and Visas" as your enquiry topic. We can then advise you through the process of extending your visa.
