I need a letter confirming my semester dates for my employer, or to travel abroad because I'm on a visa

You can generate your own letter confirming your semester dates using the University Letters page on Surrey Support.

Here you will be able to request a "Confirmation of Semester Dates" letter which will confirm your start date, your expected end date and the name of the course you are studying.

Semester Date Letter exceptions

Students on any of the courses below, you should not use this letter:-

• Full-time undergraduate courses with clinical placements: teaching may also take place during winter and summer vacations

• Full-time postgraduate taught courses: teaching and assessment activities also take place during the winter and summer vacations

• Full-time postgraduate research courses: attendance is continuous throughout the year

• BMBS Medicine programme: please refer to school communications, your timetable and SurreyLearn for accurate dates
