I need a letter confirming my student status to open a bank account

There are three simple steps you need to complete before you can request a letter:
1. Complete main registration, which usually takes place during Welcome Week.
2. Decide which bank you want to open a bank account with. If you are not sure on which back to go with, below is some independent guidance

3. You can then generate your own letter using the 'University Letters' page on Surrey Support following the prompts to request a bank letter. A copy of the letter will be emailed to you for you to print out and deliver to your chosen bank.
