I would like to request a change in my accommodation due to my disability or medical needs, what should I do?
If you need a change to your accommodation because of a disability or medical condition, such as changes to furniture, lighting, or room location, you should complete our Register and Request Support Form, if you have not already done so, and then submit an Additional Request, selecting “Accommodation” as the adjustment type, as early as possible.
More detailed instructions on how to complete these forms can be found in the Resource Library in Surrey Access. You will need to provide supporting evidence that explains why the change is needed.
Your request will be reviewed by a Disability Adviser. If it is supported, the Accommodation team will consider the change in line with availability, their allocation policy, and accommodation processes.
Some changes may not always be possible, but your request will be considered based on your individual needs and the evidence provided.
If you are unable to access Surrey Support, please contact us via our enquiry form.
