I’m considering repeating a year, will this affect my funding?
In most cases repeating a year will affect your funding entitlement. If you’re considering this, please contact the MySurrey team via Surrey Support, and select "Money and Finance" as your enquiry topic. Or, if you want to talk to someone face-to-face, you can book an appointment with our Student Money Advice team. If you are generally entitled to Student Finance you may be eligible to apply for Compelling Personal Reasons if you are repeating a year at University due to personal reasons such as illness and bereavement which impacted your study. The Student Money Advice team can support you with this process, or you can apply yourself. You can also contact Student Finance England directly about your general funding entitlement.
