What are the eligibility criteria for receiving a parking permit?

If you live outside of the Guildford area (outside of the GU1 and GU2 postcode areas), there is a strong possibility that you will be granted a permit to park.

If you live inside the Guildford area or in university accommodation, you will need to meet one of the following criteria:

Criteria for parking eligibility:

1. Proven medical need supported by documentation - use the 'Preferential Parking Request Form' available on the Disability & Neuroinclusion Team's Sharepoint page (see the link at the bottom of this Sharepoint page)

2. Proven caring or childcare commitments (we only consider needs for children of 13 years and under)

3. Mandatory short-term placement during this academic year (i.e. not lasting the full year)

4. Dual Career Athlete Scheme

Please note: part-time work is not considered valid for applications or appeals.

All applications will be considered on their merits and parking will not be issued on a first come, first served basis.
