What are the eligibility criteria for receiving a parking permit?
If you live outside of the exclusion zone (GU1 and GU2 postcode), and are able to upload a copy of your vehicle log book (V5C), there is a strong possibility that you will be granted a permit to park.
If you live inside the exclusion zone, you will need to meet one of the following criteria:
- Proven medical need
- Proven caring or childcare commitments
- Work and course requirements, including customer facing employees, those working shifts or undertaking work at the university that cannot be done remotely.
All applications will be considered on their merits and parking will not be issued on a first come, first served basis.
Applications for a permit can be made using the CPP Parking Eye Permit System.
The University has provided guidance on how to apply for a permit and the different payment options available:
- Guide to submitting a permit application
- Pay as You Go applications
- Pay Monthly applications
- Accessible Parking applications PAYG and Pay Monthly options
