What do I do if I think my flatmates are taking drugs?

Taking, dealing or handling illicit drugs anywhere on or off campus is against the resident’s agreement and also a criminal offence.

If you’ve noticed that someone is buying, taking or dealing drugs you can approach them to remind them of their resident’s agreement and to check that they are doing ok, as often drug taking is due to difficulties the person is currently experiencing in their lives.

There are various forms of support available to students struggling with drug taking and addiction, which can be found on our drug advice and support page.

Our on-campus Security team will also step in to take any action required in relation to illegal drug use.
