What does my module grade mean?
You may see the grade abbreviations allocated to your module results on your marks pages in Surrey Self-Service.
A list of these and the meaning of each is listed below:-
| AP | Attempt voided due to upheld academic appeal |
| F | Fail |
| FM | Failed mitigating - approved Extenuating Circumstances on this module |
| FP | Misconduct upheld - 1st offence penalty |
| FQ | Fail-Qualify (assessment pass mark level not met) |
| FX | Exceptional 3rd attempt given |
| MP/SM | Misconduct upheld - 2nd offence penalty |
| MS | Misconduct suspected |
| NC | Fail - not compensatable as an assessment has not been submitted |
| NS | Non- submission |
| P | Pass |
| PC | Pass with compensation |
| RS | (Nursing students only) Refer signature |
| S | Fail (assessment(s) submitted) |
| XP | (Vet students only) Exceptional Pass - in line with BSc programme |
| XT | Administrative grade to increment attempts |
