If you are sceptical about using generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI), then that is a good starting point. Surrey’s approach does not ask you to accept GenAI uncritically. You will learn how to question it, understand its limits, identify risks and decide when GenAI should or should not be used. At Surrey, you will be taught judge GenAI through our own disciplinary standards which are tailored and adapted to the course you are studying. This will help you learn to evaluate what is accurate, ethical, useful and fit for purpose within your subject.
