What should I do if my flatmate keeps smoking in their room and in the kitchen?

If you are living in campus accommodation, smoking is not permitted inside any of the residences. This refers to all types of smoking including tobacco, shisha and cannabis. This is for health and safety reasons, legal implications (for cannabis) and also for the consideration of your fellow residents. We would recommend that you speak to the person, or people, who are smoking inside their rooms or kitchen and kindly ask them to refrain from doing so.

If you are not able to resolve the issue then speak to your Residential Advisor about the problem and they can support you in resolving this.

You can contact the Residential Advisors team when they visit your flat each week. They will also be available to chat to all students at community building events and promotional stands throughout the year, so you are welcome to say hello and ask them questions.
